Imagine a future where floodwaters and river sedimentation are purposely diverted to be used to rebuild destroyed coastal wetland areas. This future is not so far off, and studies are currently underway in a 24 x 48 foot storage facility under the direction of Louisana State University Associate Professor Clint Wilson. Professor Wilson is the Director of the Vincent A. Forte River and Coastal Hydraulics Lab. The purpose of the project is to study the way in which river sedimentation and waters flow, and how that flow may be redirected to promote the most beneficial use. It is Professor Wilson’s belief that the silt, sedimentation, and water from the Mississippi River can be forced to flow in a certain direction that would reduce flooding while at the same time providing a rebuilding of lost coastal wetlands. Professor Wilson’s team hopes to move to a larger lab in the near future where he can study more life on the river.

Famous Artists: Francis Bacon (1909-1992)
This singular British figurative painter belonged to no particular art movement or group. During an era of abstract painters, Bacon steadfastly held to his unique representational portraits of the human condition in an existential, sometimes grotesque fashion. Although UK prime minister once referred to him as “that man who paints those dreadful pictures,” his work can be found in the major museums of London, New York and Paris as he is one of the worlds most famous artists.
During his lifetime, he was called “surely the greatest living painter by the director of the preeminent Tate Museum, Alan Bowness. In 2008, Bacon’s “Triptych, 1976″ sold for 86.2 million at a Sotheby’s auction, which placed him in league with Van Gogh, Picasso and Jackson Pollock for the highest prices paid for a single painting. Born to wealthy parents in Ireland, Bacon lived in Berlin and Paris, before settling into the South Kensington neighborhood of London where he kept a famously tiny (258 square feet), unkempt studio. His disturbing, violent imagery captured both the vulnerability and decadence of the post-war world.

The Statue of Liberty is one of the most well known world landmarks. It stands 305 feet tall in the heart of New York on Liberty Island. The statue was given to the United States by France as a symbol of friendship, freedom, and democracy. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a famous bell tower located in the Italian city of Pisa. It is famous as a world landmark because the way it was structured makes it lean to the right. The tower is 184 feet high on the lower side and 187 feet high on the higher side. Over one million people from all over the world visit the tower each year. Tourists enjoy stopping and taking pictures of themselves pretending to hold up the tower.

A dictator can use military force to overthrow a previous leader and take the head of state title for themselves. How should you dine while on vacation? Is it best to order a pizza? How about room service? Should you eat in the hotel restaurant? Is it better to walk around town and select a place to eat spontaneously? While all of these are decent options, it’s important to remember that you’re on vacation. This is a time when memories should be formed.
Ordering a pizza is not going to be a very memorable experience. Even if it’s above your budget, choose fine dining while on vacation. Maybe you will have a view of a beautiful lake or eat the best lobster of your life. Perhaps you will discover a new appetizer you have never heard about.
If you can’t make it to a fine catering establishment, at least order room service. Eating a steak while overlooking the ocean from your balcony is a nice way to cap the day.

Big brother is a popular show, but how many know it first aired in the Netherlands. The idea for the show originally came from Dutch television producer, John de Mol. They are isolated from the outside world and compete in weekly challenges.

The must get along with people outside of their comfort zone. There have also been special editions of the Big Brother series. The most popular edition is, Celebrity Big Brother. The only way to accomplish this goal is to play football in more countries, which has already begun.

Living On The Coast
The ocean is such a thrilling place and it is so intriguing to think about the power this beautiful wonder posses. The sea breeze and salty air are what makes the ocean one of my favorite places. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore and the sun glistening off the deep blue waters is something I find that offers me such serenity and I can spend endless hours relaxing along the coast. I find myself feeling incomplete if I didn’t have access to such a remarkable place as the water world.
Coastal living is such a great joy to me and the ocean a great best place to spend your vacation. I love the look that people get on their faces the first time they get to experience this guilty pleasure of mine. Children splashing in the water, jet skis and boats, surfboards and fishing poles, I love living on the coast.

Asia is the largest continent and has a wide range of habitat to offer many types of species. In this vast place there have been a few amazing new species discovered in many asian cities.
Three years ago the largest spider in the world was found in Southeast part of Asia. This unique, giant spider has a leg span reaching up to 12 inches! This huge spider is referred to as the giant crab spider or as a Huntsman spider. Unlike other spiders these spiders are very helpful in controlling insects, such as roaches and are not out to harm humans unless they are defending their family.
Another unusual species found in Asia is the pink millipede. This millipede is special in the way it can defend itself from predators with toxin’s it creates in their glands. When the toxin is dispersed it gives the odour of almonds and is very effective.

Sleeping helps cats conserve their energy. In terms of reproduction, the average litter a cat will deliver is between three to five kittens. A kitten can be separated from its mother at about seven weeks when it has been weaned. Veterinarians recommend a cat lover having cats sterilized to control the cat population.
